The open beta is a great opportunity to learn some of the new mechanics, get to play as some of the new characters, and try out some of the new weapons. No progress made in the open beta will transfer over to the full release of the game. The bad news is that you will have to start fresh on June 6 when the game officially releases.
The good news is that the progress that you make from the first beta weekend will transfer over to the second beta weekend, so you don’t have to start fresh. There is a bit of good news, and bad news with the open beta as well. You will have more than enough to accomplish in just two short weekends. There will be no shortage of loot to find, enemies to slay, and Quests to take on. You will be able to explore Fractured Peaks at free will and get to a max level cap of 25. Blizzard isn’t going to spoil all the fun three months early. This is the perfect amount offered for a beta as Diablo 4 is going to be a massive game and the true meat and potatoes will happen later on in the game.
You will be able to play the prologue and the entire first act of the game. The open beta is only going to give you a taste of what Diablo 4 will have to offer. If you chose an Xbox or PlayStation console as your platform, you will be emailed a download code closer to the open beta date that can be used to download the Diablo 4 open beta. When you reach the website, you will see a spot that says, “Redeem Code.” Once you have inputted your code, you will be asked to choose what platform you will be playing on. If you pre-ordered Diablo 4 and are trying to get early access to the open beta, you will need to take the open beta code you received when pre-ordering the game and redeem it on Diablo’s website. This will take place the week after the first open beta beginning on March 24, and running through March 27.īoth open beta weekends are going to require you to go to and log in to your account. The second weekend will be more public, giving anyone the opportunity to download and play the open beta.
